OCTOBER 25, 2018

Steve Sanguino our chapter chaplain along with 8 other members began our meeting with an invocation at 7:01 p.m. Chapter President Dianne Lennox reported that our October 7th car show was a financial success. Approximately 55 cars arrived for the show. There are now 88 Garden State Chapter members. We briefly talked about altering the arrangement of cars on the field of future car shows to better attract passersby. It was suggested that the owners of the show cars leave the hoods and trunks of their rides open for part of the time while on the show field to allow for observation of those areas. It was noted that our website and newsletter will be receiving photos from various members. Our chapter Facebook page established by Lory Wolf our treasurer is now up and running. It is open to the public and bears the title “Garden State Pontiac Club.” We began to discuss our “After-the-Holidays” party and the necessity to decide upon a hosting restaurant at our November meeting. Our next meetings will take place on Thursday, November 15th and Thursday, December 20th. The meeting concluded at 8:00 p.m.

Chapter vice-president Greg Pavan gave us a peek at the design of our car show dash plaque. Chapter director Steve Kiellar mentioned that he ordered show insurance from J.C. Taylor. We discussed car show classes in some detail. It was confirmed that the location of our show the Masonic Hall in Clifton, New Jersey as well the food truck we hired will both be available should we have to resort to the show rain date of Sunday, October 14th. We decided to have an informal meeting at the Masonic Lodge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 5th to discuss parking on the show field. Our next meetings will be held on Thursday, October 25th and Thurs- day, November 15th. We ended the meeting at 8:04 p.m.
