APRIL 20, 2017

Our meeting began prayerfully at 7:06 p.m. with 15 members attending. Lory Wolf read her treasurer’s report. Our membership stands at 85 including one Pontiac owner who joined the chapter at the end of this meeting. Many of us are looking forward to member Lou Calasibetta’s annual rain or shine get-together at his Old Stillwater Garage in Stillwater, New Jersey on Saturday, May 13th starting at 8:30 a.m. A few of us made plans to rendezvous at the Pompton Queen Diner on Route 23 North in Pompton Plains at 7:15 a.m. and then caravan to Lou’s where a hearty breakfast awaits. One more member chose to have his Metro News delivered electronically. About half a dozen of us are now receiving our newsletter via e-mail. Our web designer will continue with her updating of the Garden State Chapter website especially as concerns cruise nights. We are all encouraged to visit our website and to submit interesting info. Mary Ann Schwedhelm brought in for our ap- proval a paper copy of the proposed chapter T-shirt and sweatshirt logo and a logo for our new chapter “dress” sports-style shirt. After some discussion, a modifcation was made to the T-shirt and sweatshirt logo. And we also agreed to have our dress shirt made in black. Lory will consult Your Own Winery in Riverdale, New Jersey to select a Sunday when members will be invited to begin another of our ever popular wine-making sessions. Our next meetings will be on Thursday, May 18th and Thursday, June 15th. We concluded the meeting at 7:55 p.m.

MARCH 16, 2017

We began our meeting at 7:15 p.m. with a small prayer and 9 members present. Bill Wolf, our newsletter editor handed out copies of Lory Wolf’s treasurer’s report. Saturday, May 13th has been set as the date for long-time member Lou Calasibetta’s annual get- together at his Old Stillwater Garage in Stillwater, New Jersey. One member presented an item of interest : the Aztek, a mid-size crossover marketed by Pontiac from the 2001 to 2005 model years is now in vogue as a modern day seashore woody. Mary Ann Schwedhelm who along with her director husband Ray manages our chapter store asked for suggestions as to the incorporation of the new POCI logo into our Garden State Chapter logo. Vice-president Greg Pavan who designs our car show dash plaques came up with an idea. We will present our clothing vendor with our thoughts for a new chapter apparel logo. Mary Ann also brought in various fabric samples for our approval as we design a new chapter “dress” sports-style short sleeve shirt. Director John Schwedhelm thought that black would be the best color for our new shirt as black would be most resistant to fading. We voted “yes” to a material similar to our old dress shirt. Mary Ann also reported that we have plenty of inventory in our apparel store. A few more members have opted to receive an e-copy of our Metro News. The Long Island GTO Club and POCI’s Long Island Chapter have scheduled a brunch on Sunday, April 2nd. Lory Wolf, our liaison to Your Own Winery, in Riverdale, New Jersey will come up with a few dates to commence our ever popular wine-making sessions. Our meeting was over at 8:25 p.m.
