September 17, 2020

Our first in person meeting since
last February began at 6:59 p.m. with 13 members present.
Chapter chaplain Steve Sanguino read our invocation. Lory
Wolf presented her treasurer’s report. We now have a total
of 84 members. It was announced that Gianna Pavan daughter
of chapter vice-president Greg Pavan will be our new webmaster. Greg passed around an image of our October car show
dash plaque. Everyone expressed approval of this year’s design.
Greg will have the plaques ready for inclusion in our car show
goody bags prior to show day. Board member Steve Kiellar has
ordered trophies for the show. In addition Steve will have car
judging ballots and car window cards printed up for show day.
John Lennox also a board member mentioned that Ames Performance Engineering sent him several sizable boxes of promotional items for our goody bags. We spoke about the lack of
opportunities for chapter members to distribute car show flyers as brought about by Coronavirus epidemic restrictions on
car events. So far the city of Clifton, New Jersey has given us a
“green light” for holding our show at the Masonic Lodge. The
Lodge has indicated that their building is unfortunately off-limits to everyone except those using their restrooms. The Lodge
requested that we help to sanitize the premises after the show.
We decided to allow show entrants who remain close to their
classics on the show field to have the option of wearing masks.
We will be asking everyone to don a mask at all other times
and to respect social distancing protocols. Greg will be making up some Pontiac logo face masks for show day. In keeping
with tradition we will be having a 50/50 raffle at the show and
door prizes will be awarded. Those chapter members working the show are asked to attend a pre-show on site planning
session the day before – Saturday October 3rd at 3:00 p.m.
Our Chapter President Dianne Lennox requested that those
members setting up the show arrive at the Masonic Lodge between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. Our meeting concluded at 7:58 p.m.
